Frequently Asked Questions
Bespoke designs for every occasion

Q: What Covid procedures do you have to make my order and delivery safe?
A: We take every precaution possible – we regularly apply hand sanitiser and the area your flowers are prepared in is regularly cleaned. We will take your order and payment safely over the phone and will deliver your flowers ‘contactlessly’, leaving them on the doorstep, in a porch or outbuilding, so that we don’t need to be in any direct contact with the recipient.
Q: How can I improve the vase life of my flowers?
A: The main factor that can affect flowers is Bacteria. Ensure that your vase is thoroughly cleaned with a mild solution of bleach and then rinsed properly. Use the sachet of flower food provided and follow their instructions. Cut the stems at an angle to increase the surface area and place in the water. The flowers will drink via the stem so make sure that your vase is topped up regularly and keep the water clean by replacing every now and then. If you follow these simple steps you should receive the best longevity of your flowers.
Q: I find roses sometimes disappointing as their heads droop quickly, Is there a solution to this problem?
A: When you receive your roses always remove the guard petals. The most common cause of the droop is usually an airlock that develops in the stem. Remove the roses from the vase and place the stems in a cup of extremely hot water for 10 minutes. Remove and then re cut the stems at an angle and then place the roses along with flower food in deep cold clean water. This procedure should rejuvenate your roses.
Q: What happens if you deliver and the recipient is not in?
A: If there is no one at home we try and find a dry, safe, and secure place to leave them out of public view. A postcard is then delivered with the location time and date of delivery. In normal times we would also try neighbours, but this is not good practice whilst we are in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Q: What are you doing to help improve the environment?
A: We have switched from using cellophane to coloured craft paper which is made from recycled material. Our flower food packaging is also biodegradable and if requested we use Raffia to beautifully tie up our bouquets rather than ribbon as Raffia is a natural substance.
Q: Can we set up a regular order with you?
A: Yes, you can. We can do weekly, monthly, or special dates such as anniversaries or birthdays and we also place flowers or posies on graves if you are unable to visit yourself. Please ask me for more details.
